EVANGELISM

Posted by H.L. Hussmann

People are the heart of God. They are what He is most passionate about and if we want to be intimate with Him, we must allow Him to change our passions to match His. When Jesus called His first disciples He said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." Before He went to the cross He prayed for them that, "they might be one ... so that the world will know ...." CLICK TO READ MORE

APOLOGETICS

I ask a lot of people, "Why don't you share your faith more often than you do?" The number one response is, "fear." And, the number one fear is the "fear of looking stupid." Many Christians are so afraid of the one-in-a-thousand difficult encounter that they don't share with the other 999.... CLICK TO READ MORE

LOVING GOD PASSIONATELY

Posted by H.L. Hussmann

Love is everything. And, loving God is supposed to be our highest priority in life - higher than work, family, friendships, education - anything. But love isn't a feeling or emotion. It means sacrifice. Love has always been expressed by laying down our desires, our resources, our time, and our energy for the sake of others....CLICK TO READ MORE

PRACTICAL INSTRUCTION

It doesn't make a lot of sense to tell someone, "You ought to go evangelize," and not give them any tools to do so. Starting conversations, answering questions, and helping people start a relationship with Jesus is, like any other area in life, something a person can become skilled at. It takes commitment and the right kind of teaching.....CLICK TO READ MORE

POSITIVE MOTIVATION

I was once so afraid of sharing the Gospel that I spent part of two days in a row throwing up in a hotel bathroom. No one would have looked at me and said, "That guys has the gift of evangelism." Sixteen years later I have shared the message of Jesus with people across the world.... CLICK TO READ MORE

HELP ME HELP YOU

On 8:53 AM
If you're anything like me, you need constant reminders to do outreach and evangelism.

It's easy to attend a conference, read a book, or talk to a friend and get "fired up" for a while but if I'm not careful, I get caught up in life and my priority list slides. I can go days or weeks without sharing the Gospel if I'm not careful.

My primary goal in life is to share the Message of Jesus. But I also want to resource and train other Christians to do the same - Every Christian, Everywhere, Sharing Jesus.

I've come up with a plan that will do both. It's also a way churches and individuals can support what we do on a regular basis.

Bear with me here - I'm pitching an idea. In three years of blogging this is the first time I've done anything like this. Chances are, it'll be another three before I do so again.

This idea has the potential to:

-Remind you with regularity of the importance of outreach.
-Equip you to share the Gospel in a way that causes no fear at all.
-Keep you ready at all times.

I'll give you the link at the end of the post, but I have started a company that distributes Gospel tracts. They arrive monthly or quarterly.

Any Christian worth their salt when it comes to outreach should have access to tracts.

Tracts:

-Never get angry or lose their cool.
-Never become confused by difficult questions.
-Can stay in one spot for decades - waiting for the right person at the right time.
-Can penetrate areas most people cannot.
-Get passed from person to person.

With this new company you can receive anywhere from 100 to 5000 tracts a month and for churches and ministries, there are options for custom information printed right on the tracts - church address, service times, website, and the like.

For churches, it's:

-Marketing.
-Resourcing and inspiration for church members.
-A reminder of church priorities - keeping the focus on outreach.

Plans are as cheap as 2¢ per tract. And, every penny spent will go directly to Christian ministry in the form of evangelism and apologetics training, outreach, and benevolence ministries.

This is a great way to equip and inspire evangelism and a fantastic way to financially support more of the same. And, chances are, you're going to love the tracts designs. They're pretty amazing if I do say so myself.

If this post freaks you out - don't worry. We'll be back to normal soon.
